ASHFORD: 2:01 PM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Ashford Police Ashford Rescue to a medical emergency on North Broad, north of Ashford Academy.
The medical call fell under the parameters of "auto launch" of Wiregrass Life Flight to the scene. They are landing north of Ashford Academy at this time.
Wiregrass Life Flight is a "in the air intensive care unit". They respond to medical emergencies, both trauma types such as motor vehicle accidents, industrial accidents, etc., as well as medical emergencies that fall under certain criteria.
