3:17 PM Vehicle Overturned In A Creek On South Highway 109

HOUSTON COUNTY: 3:17 PM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Hodgesville and Rehobeth to the 700 block of Highway 109. A vehicle went off the road over an embankment and overturned in a pond of water.
A off duty medic reported to have the injured from the wreck and swimming to the edge of the water as units were rolling.
Wiregrass Life Flight was auto launched but later cancelled before arrival. Flight time was 10 minutes when launched.
Emergency units called for Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah responded to the scene.
Houston County Sheriff Deputies responded and Alabama State Troopers.
Houston County Rescue Dive President Wayne McKinnon had his dive equipment in his vehicle at work and was on stand by if needed. He was cancelled stand by after units arrived.
