HOUSTON COUNTY:    7:02 AM.    I regret to announce the passing of Mr. Robert Crowder. He passed away last evening.


Crowder has been battling a sickness for an extended period of time.


Crowder recently retired as Director of SARCOA ( Southeast Alabama Regional Council on Aging ).


Prior to that appointment Crowder served as Houston County Commission Chairman. A post he was elected to while serving as Mayor of Taylor.


Crowder and his wife owned Robert's Grocery in Taylor.


Funeral arrangements are to be announced.
