8:29 AM... Motor Vehicle Accident invovling a Comfirmed Fatality

GENEVA COUNTY: Fadette and Slocomb Fire and Slocomb Rescue responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at Geneva County Road 49 and County Road 4. A total of 7 people were transported by ambulance to the hospital.
As we under stand it, one was air lifted straight to Birmingham with severe burns and injuries. One by-stander was transported due to burns received while pulling the driver from one of the burning vehicles. A mother and her children were transported to a Dothan Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
Geneva County Sheriff’s Office along with Slocomb Police also responded to the scene. The area where the crash occurred is closed until it can be cleaned up. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.
The area will be closed until the investigation can be completed and the fatality can be removed from the vehicle. We are with-holding scene photos until the next of kin can be notified.
