DALE COUNTY:     A few moments ago Ozark Police was out with a vehicle on Highway 231 at Inland. The vehicle took off southbound on Highway 231.


The vehicle was northbound in the southbound lane of traffic.


Dale County Sheriff Chief Deputy Mason Bynum was on top of it. It took only seconds for Chief Bynum to make the decision to "pit" the vehicle. That is, take the vehicle off the road immediately in order to save lives.


Chief Deputy Bynum is always out. If I go to the scene daytime, he is there. Night time, he is there.


THANKS for your swift action tonight. That could have quickly cost people serious injury or death.
