DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY; DALE COUNTY:    This article is written with the full knowledge that I sound like a "broken record" as described by Houston County Commissioner Jackie Battles. And that I am a "dumb a-- bondsman".

But ladies and gentleman I am extremely passionate about life and property. And I have walked in the shoes at age 21 being elected Houston County Coroner, and in a four year period working 1154 deaths.

I have had the duty to wake parents up, children up, to notify them their loved ones were dead. It is not a easy task and there is absolutely no way to make it easier. You can only do with compassion but the more you beat around the bush the worse it is on a family.

I have held the hands of families crying and cried with them at the time of the death and days following. 

Since 1977, at age 16, I started under Houston County Sheriff A.B. Clark, with the Houston County Sheriff Department. And I have been in major criminal investigations, to include when the Napier Field Police Chief murdered the Mayor of Napier Field, a train robbery murder, a murder at Billy's Trailer Park whicy sit where Wiregrass Commons Mall.

I am passionate about life. I am passionate about when emergencies happen, things clicking on the right cylinders that the appropriate tools are available to the person in trouble in order that all chances to live are available. 

The ultimate decision for life or death rest in the hands of our Creator. But HE gives people tools and taleants to be used in a manner to save lives and property.

In Houston County, In Dale County, there have been issues for a number of years. I support the volunteers one million percent plus. They are top notch people because they give of their time, money and energy in order for others to have the chance to live.

But today's society has changed. Employer's at one time were community oriented and would allow employee's to take off to respond to medical emergencies and fires. But that is no longer the case. Society does not have the people volunteering and society does not have employer's willing for employee's to jump and run.

AND I HAVE BEEN TELLING HOUSTON COUNTY COMMISSION AND DALE COUNTY COMMISSION THERE ARE PROBLEMS

Commissioner Jackie Battles, a person that I once suppported, has been told over and over there are problems. Commissioner Mark Culver has been told over and over there are problems. The other County Commissioners have been told there are problems.

In Dale County, Commission Chairman Mark Blakenship has been told the south end of Dale County, the Mayor of Pinckard, Midland City and others have been told there are problems. And none have been proactive in solving those problems.

Today Wicksburg Rescue responding to Chrisney Lane off Denton Road just north of Flynn Road. Unreal.

Jackie, I am a broken record. Commissioners I am a broken record. And each of you have blood on your hands. You have known for years this is a problem and done nothing. And when I say something, each want to shoot the messenger and consider me just a dumb a-- bondsman.

To the public, I am sorry that I keep on. But to Rickey Stokes, unlike Culver, Battles, Sinquefield, Shoupe and Harvey, unlike Mark Blakenship and members of the Dale County Commission, your life is important to me. And when you need help, that help is to be there.

So if I offend you because I truly care about your lives, not in it for money, I am sorry. But I am offended and heartbroken that these men do not care about you.

And I regret that I supported Jackie Battles two times for Houston County Commissioner. I will never make that mistake again. And someone needs to line up to challenge Mark Culver and Doug Sinquefield in 2018.

They have done nothing. They have only destroyed.

And it makes me mad because I do care about your life.
