A single-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a Troy couple

TROY POST -- A single-vehicle crash at 1:45 a.m. today, Jan. 21, has claimed the life of a Troy couple.  Tony Jarvis Cummings, 28, and Tanyo Maresa Cummings, 29, was killed when the 2012 Ford Fusion Mr. Cummings was driving ran off the roadway, struck several trees, and overturned. 



Seatbelts were not in use. The couple was pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Coroner Jerry Williams.



Although circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, speed  is believed to be a factor. The crash occurred on  Pike County 7755, three miles north of Troy. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
