Ozark, Ala.- An Alabama Department of Transportation project on Alabama Highway 27 will begin Thursday, February 2, weather permitting.

The project will consist of relocating guardrail from the Coffee County line to U.S. Highway 231 in Ozark.

Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through the construction zone and expect delays as there will be lane closures throughout the project.

ALDOT awarded the project to Arrington Curb and Excavation, Inc., out of Flomaton, Ala., who had the lowest bid that met project requirements, at a cost of $167,062.80 with 45 working days.

ALDOT’s mission is to provide a safe, efficient, environmentally sound transportation network across Alabama.  For further information, visit www.dot.state.al.us.
