HOUSTON, HENRY and DALE COUNTY AL:   TONIGHT at 6 PM in Headland Alabama there is a meeting. The meeting is called by the Houston County Commission, Henry County Commission and Dale County Commission.


The meeting is at the Headland High School. 


The meeting is referred to as the ATRIP Meeting. The commissioners want ATRIP in your minds. ATRIP.


Will you support ATRIP? Tell your legislators to support ATRIP. That is the buzzword, ATRIP. Got it?


WHAT IS ATRIP?


The Alabama County Commissioners want the Alabama Legislators to "force" without any vote from the "registered voters of Alabama" a three cents per gallon gas tax on every gallon of gas purchased in the State of Alabama. That is a $ 1.2 BILLION DOLLAR TAX INCREASE.


The county commissioners "say" the money will be used for road and bridge construction throughout the State of Alabama in the "county". Not for city maintained roads but for "county" maintained roads.


The county commissioners will use the word "sunset" making you think the legislation will actually expire and can be done away with. While that provision is in the legislation no governmental entity which has ever gotten thier hands on money has ever decided to do away, 6Henry Houston and Da with it.


Join the meeting tonight. Henry County Commission Chairman/Probate Judge David Money will be the moderator. He can be believed but WARNING he is sold on this $ 1.2 BILLION DOLLAR tax increase.


Houston County Commission Chairman Mark Culver will also be there. LOL he blocked me from his "county owned and paid for" telephone. I think he is mad with me. DO NOT ask him about sandbags!
