UPDATED: Body Found in the Middle of the Road in Coffee County This Morning

COFFEE COUNTY: According to (WTVY) Around 3:30 this morning authorities received a call of a body lying in the middle of Highway 167 near the Boy Scout Rd. Coffee County Coroner Robert Preachers told WTVY that the deceased is African American female and appears to be in her 20's or 30's.
The victim did not have any identification and the body has been sent to the Alabama Department of Forensics in Montgomery for an autopsy to determine cause of death and her identification.
The SBI (ALEA) is conducting the investigation into the incident.
UPDATE:
A pedestrian was killed today, March 25, while she was lying in the roadway on Alabama 167 in Coffee County. The crash occurred at 3:20 a.m. at the 33.60 mile marker, five miles north of Enterprise. Emily Dean Freeman, 23, of Ariton was struck and killed by a 2005 Peterbilt. Freeman was pronounced dead at the scene by Coffee County Coroner Robert Preachers. The driver of the Peterbilt was not injured. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
