Car Thieves Were On The Move In Early Morning Hours In Dothan

DOTHAN:   It started about 1:30 AM this morning.


Dothan Police 911 rolled police officers to Flynn Road at Oates Estates to persons tampering with and breaking into vehicle.


Dothan Police 911 rolled police officers to Heyward Drive off Westgate Parkway. Two black males wearing hoodies and reported to be armed. The suspects were breaking and entering vehicles.


Dothan Police 911 rolled police officers to Montreal Court to breaking and entering vehicles.


Dothan Police 911 rolled officers again to Heyward Court to breaking and entering vehicles. Then to Montreat Court again.  And again to Montreal Court. And again to Montreal Court. A total of six on Montreat Court. But later more care on Montreal were found to have been broken into.


Dothan Police 911 rolled officers to Cecily Street in Shady Brook to breaking and entering a motor vehicle. Several vehicles on Cecily Street.


More auto burglaries on Heritage Drive, the 2500 block of Westgate Parkway.


Dothan Police and Houston County Sheriff Deputies covered the area. Dothan Police K-9's were on the street.


Late Friday night or early Saturday morning a Houston County Sheriff Deputy, off duty, had a rifle stolen from his department vehicle.


A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO THE THEIVES


IF you for one minute think that Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish and Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza are going to allow you to continue... WRONG.


You got brave this weekend. But these two law enforcement commanders which protect Dothan and Houston County have ZERO tolerance for this.


RICKEY STOKES STATEMENT AND NOT ONE FROM THE POLICE CHIEF OR SHERIFF... the citizens of Dothan and Houston County support the law enforcement 100%. And our support includes their STOPPING this criminal element from continuing. And I know Chief Parrish and Sheriff Valenza and they will begin aggressive patrol.


So if you are stopped and asked questions, GET OVER IT...the law enforcement commanders will not allow this to continue.
