City of Enterprise Opens Storm Shelter For People Who Need Safe Place

ENTERPRISE AL: 7:45 AM.
The City of Enterprise and the Enterprise City School system will open the gymnasium at Enterprise High School due to the threat of potential weather late Saturday into early Sunday morning.
The gym will open as a shelter at 9 p.m. this evening and close at 8 a.m. Sunday morning.
EMA Director Larry Walker and Mayor Kenneth Boswell ask residents that need to seek shelter to please make use of the facility.
“Mother nature is something that we do not need to play with,” Boswell said. “We will take every precaution to keep our citizens safe.”
Citizens are asked to enter thru the rear of the building by the green houses into the safety shelter.
Persons that will use the shelter need to bring their own supplies. Nothing will be supplied by the City or the school system.
Police officers and EMTs will be on site.
Only service animals will be allowed into the facility.
