Alabama businessman Ronnie Gilley, who pleaded guilty in 2011 to conspiring to offer legislators money, campaign contributions, and campaign assistance for "yes" votes on a gambling bill officially ends his federal prison sentence Sunday.
Gilley, 52, who in August was moved into a federal prison system re-entry program ahead of his release, is to end his prison sentence on Feb. 12, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website. The program he was assigned to was the Residential Reentry Management (RRM) field office at Maxwell Air Force base in Montgomery.
While in the program, prisoners are often placed in halfway houses and sometime eventually moved into home confinement - or house arrest.
