Because of the forecasted threat of severe weather moving into the area Wednesday, the City of Enterprise will close City Hall and suspend all City services.

All city services with the exception of police and fire protection will be closed all day Wednesday and will resume regular service on Thursday morning.

“After discussing the National Weather Service’s afternoon webinar with our department heads, we felt it best to close City Hall,” Enterprise Mayor Kenneth Boswell said.  “Safety for our employees and our citizens is our top priority.”

For Enterprise residents needing safer shelter, the JROTC wing adjacent to the greenhouses at Enterprise High School will open at 5 a.m. ahead of any potentially severe weather. Police personnel will direct people where to go and an emergency medical technician will be on site in the event they are needed.

Limited food and drink will be provided during this time. No animals, except service animals, will be allowed inside the facility. The shelter will remain open until the threat of weather has passed the area.
