Entrprise Man will Attend the Presidential Inauguration Leadership Summit in Washington, DC

We would like to congratulate Xander O’Connell of Enterprise , AL for being selected to attend the Presidential Inauguration Leadership Summit in Washington, DC on January 18 through January 22, 2017.

It is a great honor to be chosen to attend the Inauguration of our 45th President of the United States . Only a few honored students from all over the United States are chosen to attend the event.

Xander is a 15 year old Honor student at Enterprise High School and is a sophomore outside linebacker of the EHS Wildcats football team, HOSA, and plays basketball for the Enterprise Thunder Elite basketball team. Xander has always maintained a 4.18 GPA and strives to be outstanding in his academics, leadership skills, his community, and his future in the medical field. He is looking forward to graduating in 2019 and attending college/university to obtain his degree in the medical field. His goal is to be an Orthopedic Surgeon.

Xander will get to witness history with other honored students as the 45th President of the United States takes the Oath of Office, and delivers the Inaugural Address on the National Mall. Summit Scholars enjoy exclusive early morning access (prior to the public) to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History to warm up before joining the crowd on the Mall for The Inauguration Ceremony.

Xander will hear from subject matter experts and work with others in small-group breakout delegations to generate solutions to real-world challenges that the next president and their generation will face. Delegations will present their Summit Solutions, and six winning delegations will receive scholarships to help fund their future success.

Xander has attended Enterprise City Schools since Kindergarten and plans to graduate in 2019 from Enterprise High School . He is also a member of the JRNYLC Alumni, NYLC Alumni, Beta Club Alumni, HOSA member, and was selected as one of the chosen People to People Student Ambassador in 2015.
