On the evening of Thursday; January 26, 2017 Bullit, my daughter’s service dog, was in the yard taking care of “business” in the yard. A black SUV swerved into our yard on Geneva Highway and hit him in the back legs.
They left part of their fender wheel in our yard from the impact. My daughter rushed to the dogs aide with her dad at her side. My husband dashed in the road, flagging down cars to stop with his military grade flashlight.
He managed to get to Bullit while the cars stopped for him to retrieve the dog. My daughter was on the side of the road screaming (so loud it brought people out of their homes!) The SUV that initially hit Bullit turned around and attempted to hit my husband and killed the dog. Bullit’s job spanned 7 years with my daughter.
He was retired for public use but served a great purpose in the home. The void he has left is felt deeply by all of us. There were several people that stopped that night and witnessed the event and prayed. We need everyone who witnessed this to call the police.

Bullit was senselessly murdered and the person attempted to run over the father of his handler as well. Please call 347- 2222 if you have any information to report.
