The DuBois Institute for Entrepreneurship, Inc, d/b/a Aunt Katie’s Community Garden, www.dife.us, in conjunction with Widget Development & Trading Co, LLC,, www.widgetdtc.com, will be conducting a series of “Free” workshops for farmers, or those that want to become farmers.
The theme of the program is “Seeds of Prosperity-Farming as a Business”. “This material is based upon work supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Farm Service Agency, under Federal Award Identification No. FA-Al-7-037” Topics covered in the workshop will include but not limited to the following: FSA Programs:
Farm Ownership Farm Operating Loans Crop Insurances Heir Property Agri-Economics Increasing Production Yields Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) Certification Introduction to record keeping software (excel & Quick Books)
The first workshop will be held in Dothan, Alabama on Friday, April 14, 2017, at the Farm Center Building, 1699 Ross Clark Circle, Ste 4, Dothan, Alabama 36301, from 8:00 am to 3:00, lunch will be provided.
