Jeff Golden who is a local country music entertainer recently wrote and recorded a country music song entitled SOUTHERN. The song is about being very proud of being raised in the south. SOUTHERN is currently being promoted nationwide by Mike Borchetta. Borchetta signed Tim Mcgraw and many other well know entertainers to recording contracts. SOUTHERN debuted on the New Music Weekly Country Main Chart at #59 and has progressed up the charts to currently #10 with a bullet meaning it will more than likely go up higher on the charts. David Sommers, program director at WTVY FM 95.5, was the first Billboard reporting station in the nation to add SOUTHERN to their playlist. Jeff first started trying to make it to the top of the music world while still going to high school in Henry County. He always wanted his father to see him have a #1 hit on the charts. He never gave up on his dream and has worked very hard every day since high school trying his best to achieve his goal. Unfortunately his dad, Jerry Golden, passed away before he could see Jeff’s current and biggest success. However, his mother, Betty Sue Golden 83, is his biggest fan and even went with Jeff to Nashville to record the song. Jeff’s dream now is that his mama will see her son have a number 1 hit song on the charts. The charts are determined by how many radio stations are playing a song and how many record sales are on iTunes. If you would like to help Jeff move on up the charts, you can help by downloading the song for only 99 cents. Just go on the internet & go to iTunes and type in Southern by Jeff Golden. Jeff said, "After all these years of trying my hardest, I can’t believe this is finally happening. Thank you to everyone who has helped."
