Henry County Gunshot Death Being Investigated

HENRY COUNTY:    On Wednesday Henry County - Abbeville 911 Center dispatched emergency units and deputies to a call in Turner II Subdivision at the lake.


On the arrival of Henry County Sheriff Deputies they found a 49 year old white female deceased from a gunshot wound.


All deaths of this nature are investigated as a homicide and you then work backwards from there.


Henry County Coroner Derek Wright was called to the scene to assist in the investigation. A autopsy was conducted by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.


The husband was taken into the Henry County Sheriff Department for further questioning and investigation. There was a on going domestic dispute  at the time of the incident.


The has been no official ruling at this time. However preliminary investigation does not indicate foul


play in the death.
