DOTHAN:

Hold on. About the City of Dothan and the American Flag. A lot of over reaction to misinformation

The straps on the flag pole for some reason snapped. A Dothan Police Investigator saw it fly from the pole. He immediately called the Mayor’s Office and they immediately got people out there.

The flag was immediately removed from the ground and placed in a container.

Then they have researched the proper procedure on flags when they hit the ground and following those procedures.

And inspections on. The flag pole are being done in order to continue flying the flag.

But NO ONE with Dothan did anything disrespectful to the American Flag but immediately rush to handle the situation and get the flag from the ground. And now learning the proper protocol for what to do with the flag when it hits the ground.
