Houston County Gives Day (HCGD) is Friday, April 28 from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Eagle Eye Outfitters. Thirtyfour area non-profits will showcase their mission with potential volunteers, donors and clients by setting up booths equipped with information and giveaways. A press conference and ribbon cutting for the Spirit of Service Day begins at 5 pm with a few words from elected officials.
Houston County Gives Day serves as the kick-off for the Spirit of Service Day on April 29, which promotes service at different locations in need throughout the Wiregrass community. The first 100 visitors will receive a goody bag and Eagle Eye is offering a special discount for those who visit the booths. The Dothan Police Foundation will also be there with animals ready to be adopted.
Travis Perry’s band, Pure and Simple, will keep the crowd entertained with their bluegrass music.
