Dothan, Ala, February 6, 2017: Houston County Gives Day has been set for Friday, April 28 from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Eagle Eye Outfitters. The event serves as the kick off for the Spirit of Service Day to be held on April 29. Participating nonprofits must have a physical office location in Houston County.

These Houston County nonprofits are invited to participate and must email their logo and contact information to [email protected] by March 31 to participate. Each qualifying nonprofit will be invited to set up a table to share their mission with potential volunteers, donors and clients.

Refreshments will be available for purchase and Eagle Eye Outfitters will have special offers for customers. This is a great way for companies and individuals alike to meet with multiple organizations with which they would like to volunteer and support. It also serves as a major media outreach for those in need of the agencies’ services. ““We are so fortunate in Houston County that so many non-profits are willing to work together for a common cause.

As a result, Houston County Gives Day is a perfect venue for residents wanting to give back to their community. Participating agencies will provide multiple opportunities to get involved and help those less fortunate in our local communities,” said David Duke, Executive Director of Wiregrass 2-1-1, Southeast Alabama.

The public is invited to like https://www.facebook.com/HoustonCountyGivesDay/ for additional announcements. About Houston County Gives Day Houston County Gives Day is an annual exhibition of local non-profits and is open to the public.

Our goal is to create awareness about these nonprofit agencies thereby building a stronger community of resources to help those in need.
