Intermediate Photography Workshop at Landmark Park

DOTHAN: Landmark Park is excited to welcome back the Southeast Alabama Photography and Adventure Club for an intermediate photography workshop on Saturday, March 4 from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. This workshop will focus on INTERMEDIATE camera and photographic techniques. Participants will have an opportunity to utilize the techniques in the field with help from SEAPAC members. The fee to attend is $15 from members and $20 for nonmembers. Registration is limited to participants ages 12 and older, preferably who have already taken the Beginner Photography Workshop, with a maximum of 20 participants. Participants should bring: DSLR Camera (no “Point & Shoot” cameras), extra batteries, the camera’s manual (read your manual before you come), a clean media card, tripod if you have one, umbrella, and a sacked lunch and drink for the day. Landmark Park is a 135-acre natural science and history museum located on the outskirts of Dothan. Features of the park include nature trails, a planetarium, playground, picnic areas, an elevated boardwalk, a turn-of-the-century farmstead with sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, cows and other farm animals and crops typical of an 1890s farm. In addition, the park includes a drugstore with operating soda fountain, one-room school, general store, and historic church, all preserved from the surrounding area. The park is open Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. Regular admission is $4 adults, $3 for children and is free for park members and children age 2 and under.
