Jackson County Sheriff's Office Investigating an Armed Robbery

Monday morning, March 13, 2017, approximately 5:40 am the Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery at the Dixie Food and Gas on Georgia Street (Hwy 231) in Alford.  The clerk stated the suspect, a white male wearing a Halloween mask, walked into the store, displayed a gun, and demanded money.  The suspect then exited the store with an undisclosed amount of money and ran on foot behind the store. 


ACI and JCI canine teams arrived at the scene. A search of the area was conducted but the suspect was not located.  Anyone with information about this crime can contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office 850-482-9648 or Chipola Crime Stoppers at 850-526-5000.
