Jackson County Sheriff's Office Makes Arrest in Burglary Case

Over the past several weeks Investigators with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office have continued to work on leads and information concerning numerous recent burglaries and thefts that have occurred within the eastern portion of Jackson County.
On Tuesday December 13, 2016 Investigators executed a search warrant on a residence located 2776 Sand Ridge Church Road in regards to the recent thefts. During the search warrant Investigators were able to locate numerous items of stolen property that was linked back to several recent burglaries and thefts in the area.
Some of the larger stolen items recovered were: welding machines, utility trailers, lawn equipment, metal cutting torch equipment, power tools, etc. Inside the residence Investigators were able to locate the property owner, Dewayne Neel whom was arrested and charged with Grand Theft and Dealing in Stolen Property. Also arrested was Kayla Neel whom was charged with Dealing in Stolen Property as well.
