DOTHAN: Last night a benefit concert was held to raise money to help the families that lost love one’s on the January 2nd Tornado that hit the small town of Rehobeth. The night four people lost their lives during the storm.
Someone approached Ron Bedford the owner of Cowboy’s here in Dothan and said we need to do something to help these families. Within a week this benefit concert was created. Five different acts were called and all fived dropped what they were doing and came to Dothan. The acts included Josh Buckley, Vic George, Mike Vadusen and the Mustang Sally.
I was lucky enough to grab a quick interview with the band back stage. Tobi Lee said that when they got the call they quickly loaded up the equipment and drove down here from Nashville. When my wife and I left last night around 10:30 pm they had already raised close to 13,000.00 and were only half way through the auction.
I would like to that all the acts and everyone who came out to Cowboy’s for all their support for these families.
