Marianna Man Charged with Possession of Marijuana

     On February 5th, 2017 at approximately 2123 hours, officers with the Marianna Police Department were conducting bike and foot patrols of the Three Rivers Apartment Complex. While at the complex, contact was made with the driver of a vehicle that had entered the property. During the course of the consensual encounter, Officers were able to detect the strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed the presence of marijuana. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Dakoda Wade Gates, did claim ownership of the marijuana.   


Dakoda Wade Gates was placed under arrest for above mentioned charges and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana more than 20 grams
