Marianna Police Arrest One on Multiple Charges

On February 8, 2017, Officers with the Marianna Police Department obtained information on the location of Jaylen Peterson. Peterson was wanted on an outstanding warrant for Burglary, Larceny and Dealing in Stolen Property. Peterson was last seen on Albert St and fled into a wooded area prior to Officer’s arrival. The Officers set a perimeter and Peterson was tracked through the woods where he was located a short time later. As Officers approached, Peterson attempted to run away on foot but was quickly apprehended and arrested on the warrants. During a search of his person incident to arrest, Officers located a marijuana smoking pipe.
Peterson was transported to the Jackson County Correction Facility to await first appearance.

Charges: Burglary, Larceny, Dealing In Stolen Property, Resisting Officer without Violence, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
