Marianna Police Charge Juvenile with Burglary

On March 24th, 2017 between the hours of 10:00am and 11:30am, the Marianna Police Department responded to two separate vehicle burglaries. One of the burglaries occurred on Clinton Street and the other occurred at the Jackson County Public Library. Officers were able to obtain a description of the suspect. During the course of the investigation, officers began canvassing the area. Officers went inside the Jackson County Public Library and found a subject matching the description. The subject was found to be a juvenile.
While speaking with the juvenile, officers were able to recover a digital camera that was stolen during the vehicle burglary at the library. The juvenile was taken into custody. The victim from the burglary on Clinton Street was able to positively identify the juvenile as the subject that burglarized their vehicle.
The juvenile was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary of a conveyance and two counts of petit theft.
