Marianna Woman arrested for Aggravated Battery

On May 13, 2017 at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to 3070 Carters Mill Road, Three Rivers Apartments, in reference to a pedestrian being struck by a motor vehicle. As officers arrived on scene, it was determined this was the result of a domestic disturbance. During the course of this investigation, officers learned, Glenda Williams had been involved in an altercation with her husband, Bertram Williams. The altercation began on Carters Mill Rd. and continued a short time later, on the property of Three Rivers Apartments.
During the altercation, Glenda Williams struck her husband with a motor vehicle on Carters Mill Rd. This resulted in minor injuries, to Mr. Williams. A short time later, at the apartment complex, Glenda Williams again used a motor vehicle as a weapon, resulting in Bertram Williams needing to seek medical attention.
Based on the evidence obtained and the statements taken in this incident, Glenda Williams was placed under arrest for Aggravated Battery (Domestic). She was transported to the Jackson County Jail to await her first appearance before the court.
