Dothan, Alabama, January 26, 2017– Miss Heart of the USA will be hosting a preliminary pageant on Sunday, February 5th to benefit Sweet Home Doberman Rescue. The pageant will be held at Doug Tew Community Center and will begin at 2pm. Entry fee is $25.00 plus one bag of dry dog food. The contestant who turns in the most donations of dry dog food will be awarded a special title. National Director, Ciera Ingram says “The idea behind the Miss Heart of the USA Pageant is to teach girls of all ages the importance of giving back to their community.

We partner with non-profits across the state, determine what their specific need is and then host a preliminary pageant that focuses on meeting that need. It is really a win for everyone involved because we work towards meeting the need of the non-profit organization we are working with and as a result the girls get to see first-hand the huge impact they can have on their community.” Divisional winners from this pageant will advance to the Alabama’s Miss Heart of the USA pageant where they will compete for a $1,000 scholarship and the chance to represent Alabama at the National Pageant in Orlando, Florida in the fall.

Age Divisions: Baby Miss (Ages 0-11 months) * Tiny Miss (Ages 1-2) *Future Little Miss (Ages 3-4) * Little Miss (Ages 5- 7) * Petite Miss (Ages 8-10) * Junior Miss (Ages 11-13) * Teen Miss (Ages 14-16) * Miss (Ages 17-23) * Ms. (Ages 24+) Contestants can register online at www.missheartoftheusa.com.
