HOUSTON COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION: You are the local legislative delegation. Paul Lee, Harri Anne Smith, Steve Clouse, Dexter Grimsley, Donnie Chesteen and Billy Beasley
A couple of major questions: the first, are you WISE stewards of tax payers money?
Houston County Commission Chairman Mark Culver has had two vehicles. The latest was a 2007 Chevrolet Impala. Just weeks ago Chairman Culver gave that vehicle to a member of the Dothan - Houston Co EMA Staff.
Chairman Culver ordered a four door Ford F-150, leather or leather look alike interior, and push button entry.
This past legislative session, Paul Lee, Harri Anne Smith, Steve Clouse, Dexter Grimsley, Donnie Chesteen and Billy Beasley, you each voted a $ 6,000.00 per year vehicle allowance to the Houston County Commission Chairman for the next term of office.
But if Culver just got a new vehicle in the past few days, and his last vehicle has lasted since 2007, why did he get a new vehicle and then whoever is elected will get the $ 6,000.00 car allowance.
OK, yes, I am aware the vehicle is suppose to go to some lady who has to do without out until Culver gets beat or re-elected.
But if you are wise stewards of tax payers money as you CLAIM 🤗🤗🤗 and his last car lasted 9 years, why are you allowing this to happen? You can rescind that legislation this new session.
Now I am aware the last raises, Culver went and sit outside your door while you discussed raises. And I am aware when Culver was not included he was mad and made threats against each of you.
So either, you are are afraid of Mark Culver or you are hot air about being wise stewards of tax payer dollars.
Rescind that $ 6,000.00. Because what Culver has done is figure how to add that to his retirement if the Houston County voters are unlucky enough that he is re-elected.
AS TO HOUSTON COUNTY REVENUE COMMISSIONER
The Houston County Revenue Commissioner, Starla Moss, does deserve a raise. That is to make that office in line with others. She does bring the money in.
Some of the members of the Houston County Commission oppose it. Especially Mark Culver because he wants more money.
And Jackie Battles has been Mark Culver's little pet dog doing whatever Culver wants becaus eye is having problems walking and chewing gum at the same time. Ubless Culver tells him to. Such a disappointment!
But legislative delegation, ignore what Culver says, do the right thing. Rescind Culver and give that raise to the Revenue Commissioner.
Culver has the new ride...look at the picure parked in front of his new house.
Legislative delegation...be a wise steward
