Power Line Down - Structure Fire Reported

HOUSTON COUNTY: At 2:55 PM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Pansey Volunteer Fire and Lovetown Volunteer Fire to a structure fire at 5606 South Rocky Creek Road. That is at County Road 8 intersection.
Reports to the 911 Center were that flames were visible through the air conditioner which was struck by lightning.
When fire units arrived there was no actual structure fire. The home owner flipped the breakers off.
Wiregrass Electric was on the scene within seconds of the fire units arriving. A power line was down which affected 37 customers.
By 4:23 PM Wiregrass Electric had the power restored. They have been on top of all systems and monitoring their large coverage area. When I say they have been on top of it- I was able to see first hand their activity.
Ashford Police and Houston County Sheriff Deputies were on the scene. Ashford Rescue also responded.
