HOUSTON COUNTY: Rehobeth Fire and Rescue held an open house to show off new ambulance they took delivery of today.
The last time Rehobeth bought a new ambulance was in 1995. The new ambulance will replace that one.
This ambulance is state of the art and meets all the new requirements set by the Alabama Department of Public health.
The department has three ambulances in use and this one will cut down on the cost of repairs for one of the older ones.
Rescue captain Heather Thomas says it’s important for them to get new equipment every so often to better serve the community. Volunteer and public officials attended the open house.
