Saraland police officer injured in shooting flown to hospital, report states

SARALAND AL: A female Saraland Police Officer was shot one time this morning.
Reports are a 26 year old male and his grandad were having a domestic issue. The grandson lived in a detached garage from the grandfather.
When police officers knocked on the door of the grandson he opened the door and immediately opened fire. Reports are the suspect shot the officer in the temple.
The suspect was shot and died in transit to a local hospital.
The officer was flown to University of South Alabama Hospital in critical condition. Reports are the officers husband is a Mobile Police Officer.
Prayers are with the officer and her family.
