SEAN DIETRICH EVENT SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 22, 2017

An event featuring Sean Dietrich is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, at the Historic First National Bank Building in Marianna.  Proceeds from the event will be donated to Partners for Pets, the local no-kill animal shelter.  A limited number of tickets are being sold, and they may be purchased at the Marianna Police Department during regular business hours.  The cost is $20.


Mr. Dietrich is a musician, columnist, and novelist, known for his commentary on life in the American South. His columns have appeared in numerous publications, and he writes and shares a column every day on his blog, "Sean of the South," always consisting of 460 words and always posted at 11:27 at night. He has more than 15,000 followers on Facebook and has authored seven books. His popularity continues to grow as he writes about everyday people and the underdogs, expressing so eloquently how they unknowingly affect the lives of the people around them. His daily postings can tug on the heartstrings, while making you laugh, cry, and certainly reminisce. His humble words convey life lessons and speak to all the things we hold dear in our local, small-town communities. This event will be an enjoyable evening of storytelling not to be missed and also helps a local charity in need.
