Sex Offender Fails to Register and Lands in Jail

On 12-9-16 the Sex Offender Compliance Division of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into a report that a locally registered sex offender, Jason Caden Porter, had moved from his registered address in Marianna to the Cottondale area without reporting the change of address.
A warrant was obtained for Porter’s arrest on 12-16-16 and he was arrested on 12-20-16 at his workplace without incident. He was lodged in the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
