Sheriff Department IS NOT Investigating Columbia Mayor and His Wife

COLUMBIA:    A lot has been happening in Columbia in the past couple of days.


Letter from SARCOA to the Town of Columbia stopping the funding for the Senior Citizens Center meals. The accusations from SARCOA have been there were some 900 forgeries of people that Columbia Senior Citizens Center said ate when they did not.


That has resulted in the resignation of the Columbia Mayor's wife and two heated meetings in Columbia. Some citizens have complained UNCONFIRMED with the 20th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Office. UNCONFIRMED they were told that Houston County Sheriff Department was investigating the matter.


CONFIRMED the Houston County Sheriff Department is not investigating the matter. And the reason is the victim, SARCOA, has not filed a complaint with the Houston County Sheriff Department. The citizens can not file the complaint to prompt a criminal investigation. It has to be SARCOA.


Well,in writing SARCOA has made accusations of forgery. One would think they would be under an obligation to file such a complaint with the Houston County Sheriff Department. But as of this morning there were no complaints and no investigations.
