Single Vehicle Accident Claimed the Life of a Ariton Man

DOTHAN POST -  A single-vehicle crash today, Dec. 31, has claimed the life of an Ariton man. Terry Wayne Rogers Jr., 23, was killed when the 2000 Nissan Sentra he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. 


Rogers Jr., who was not using a seat belt, was ejected and transported to a local hospital where he died from injuries he sustained in the crash. The crash occurred at  7:10 a.m. on Alabama 105 six miles west of Ozark. 


Although the circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, preliminary investigation indicates speed was a factor in the crash. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
