HOUSTON COUNTY: Tonight Alabama Governor Robert Bentley spoke with Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza while Sheriff Valenza was on the scene on Leonard Road in Houston County.
Governor Bentley told Sheriff Valenza whatever state resources he needed were a phone call away.
Alabama State Emergency Manager Director Art Faulkner was in constant contact with Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah. Faulkner and Governor Bentley offered to Judah whatever resources were needed to assist.
Alabama State Representative Paul Lee responded to the scene to offer whatever support possible.
Alabama State Senator Harri Anne Smith spoke to Sheriff Valenza and EMA Director Chris Judah and offered whatever resources they needed. Senator Smith offered to respond to the scene but was told to stand by and they would contact her for assistance if needed.
So Houston County had support by phone and on the ground from the "State" elected officials, Governor Bentley, Rep. Paul Lee and Senator Harri Anne Smith. And Houston County had support of the State Emergency Management Director Art Faulkner.
THANKS to our state elected and appointed official for their help.
Also Houston County Road and Bridge were on the scene assisting.
