A very special THANKS to all of you who work for the public on Christmas Day.

Those who work in the Communications Agencies and 911 Centers. Thanks for being there to be the connection between the public and public safety agencies. The connection between life and death. For the time you spend on the phone with the person reporting, stepping them through life saving efforts, keeping them calm until the appropriate response agency can arrive.

To the paid and volunteer fire and EMS. Those working at the stations and to those willing to leave their families and festivities in order to save lives and property.

To the nurses, doctors, helpers, orderlies and all who make the wheels turn in the hospitals. Thanks.

To those who work in restaurants, motels, gas stations and all business open to serve the public. Thanks for working your time on Christmas Day.

You are noticed and appreciated by the public for your willingness to be there for the public.

To the correctional officers of all facilities. Working a difficult day for those who can not celebrate Christmas with their loved ones. You are managing and interacting with them on difficult days in their lives. And Christmas is a difficult day for them and one for you. Remember, no matter why they are in the facility, they are just like you with feelings, heartache, wants and desires. Your attitude towards them makes a difference. And one little word to them can make a lifetime of difference.

To the law enforcement working, patrolling, protecting our streets. THANKS and be safe.

We wish you a Merry Christmas.
