MONTGOMERY: The following comment is not intend to be critical of nor defend Alabama Governor Robert Bentley: is it just me or is it hysterically funny how swift the Alabama Supreme Court can act when they want to or have an agenda to do so?

CONCERNING ALABAMA SUPREME COURT RULING
ON THE IMPEACHMENT OF ALABAMA GOVERNOR ROBERT BENTLEY
The Alabama Supreme Court this afternoon ordered a stay to the temporary restraining order issued by a Montgomery Judge that could stand in the way of the impeachment of Gov. Robert Bentley.
The order allows the House Judiciary Committee, which is considering impeaching the governor, to continue with its schedule of impeachment.
Lawyers for both sides must file briefs with the Supreme Court by Monday morning, but it appears impeachment can proceed. The Supreme Court has long held in Alabama that the Legislature can make its own rules.
