DOTHAN:    They sit quietly all around Dothan. They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week in Dothan Alabama. They were open Christmas Day. They never close, and dose very little.

The State of Alabama, City of Dothan, Houston County did not lure money in front of them to locate in Dothan. Probably the only thing they have been given is a hard time from Dothan Planning Commission - Chuck Harris and Todd McDonald.

But they pay sales tax and employ 180 people in the City of Dothan.

WAFFLE HOUSE.

In Dothan there are 6 Waffle House Restaurants. Each place employs about 30 people. And some employees have been there 18 years.

One is Bubba at the East Side Waffle House. And yes, I am allowed to go in there.

Bubba is a "Rock Star Grill Master". That means Bubba knows his stuff. He also travels around to other Waffle Houses when they expect large crowds, such as Florida when storms strike.

As I saw them begin to get slammed around Christmas is when I found out how many people they employ in Dothan. One Waffle House, the husband works at one and his wife is manager of the other Waffle House.

So as you go in and out of Waffle House, remember, they are a large employer in Dothan Alabama. And no incentitives were given them to come here.
