An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant who spotted an erratic driver says the man took off running during a traffic stop December 10th, leaving behind a loaded gun and bags of cocaine, marijuana and prescription drugs.
Responding deputies located 32-year old Juana Allen of 50 Sellers Place, Fort Walton Beach, hiding on the side of a business on Beal Parkway a short time later and took him into custody. The Sergeant could see a Glock .40 caliber gun with an extended thirty round magazine on the driver’s side floorboard of Allen’s rental car.
The weapon, loaded with 25 .40 caliber rounds and one in the chamber, was later confirmed as stolen. On the center console he spotted a bag with several smaller bags which marijuana, cocaine, and Xanax tablets. A backpack on the front passenger seat also contained bags of the drugs.
The OCSO has charged Allen with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony, dealing in stolen property, possession of a controlled substance (Lortab/Xanax), possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting an officer without violence.
