UPDATE on Yesterday's Fatality in Coffee County

DOTHAN POST – A two-vehicle crash at 4:25 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, has claimed the life of an Enterprise man.  Bobby Wayne Beckworth, 32, was killed when the 1994 Chevrolet truck he was driving ran off the road, came back onto the road, struck a 2010 Ford F-150, left the roadway again and overturned. 


Beckworth, who was not using a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by Coffee County Coroner Robert Preachers.  The driver of the Ford was not injured. The crash occurred on Alabama 134 one mile west Enterprise. 


The preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol may have been a factor. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
