DOTHAN: Dothan Fire and Dothan Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at the Circle and Columbia Hwy with entrapment. Reports are the wreck is involving a semi and a SUV. 

The area where the crash occurred is closed until it can be cleaned up. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Dothan Police.

The accident involved a northbound semi and a SUV. The driver of the SUV was entrapped due to the confined area after impact.

Dothan Fire Engine 5 ( Eastside ) was the primary engine. Dothan Fire Batallion Chief Keith Gaster was the on scene commander.

The patient definitely had a passenger. GOD. Impact was in the driver's door, driver trapped, conscious, alert and talking with emergency personnel. 

The driver was extricated and transported by Pilcher Ambulance to SAMC with non life threatening injuries.

Alabama Department of Transportation responded to check the bridge area. Dothan Police investigated the accident.
