MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
A person who has spoken to Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley says he plans to resign over allegations he covered up an affair with an aide, according to The Associated Press.
According to Raycom News Network Reporter Alan Collins, two sources say Bentley has agreed to plead guilty to misdemeanor charges.

UPDATE: GOV. BENTLEY HAS BEEN BOOKED IN THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY JAIL, PLED GUILTY TO TWO MISDEMEANOR CHARGES, FINGERPRINTED, AND PAID TWO BONDS OF $300 EACH. REPORTED THAT HE IS EXPECTED TO RESIGN ABOUT SIX AND KAY IVEY WILL BE SWORN IN AS GOVERNOR FOLLOWING THE RESIGNATION.
UPDATE: GOVERNOR BENTLEY HAS RESIGNED.
