HOUSTON COUNTY: At 8:35 PM... Multiple Fire units from Ashford and Cowarts responded to a report of a structure fire at 105 Alice Street in Ashford . The first unit on scene advised smoke and flames visible.
Ashford Police responded along with an ambulance from Ashford rescue. The road the fire is located on is closed due to emergency equipment and supply line blocking the road.
Rickey is responding fro RSN.

Ashford Fire is evacuating everyone that isn't a firefighter due to propane tank and live power lines down hampering firefighters. Alabama Power was called but dispatched advised Chief Posey it could be an hour before they can get there. Chief Posey advised to call Alabama Power back and tell them they now have multiple power lines down.

Chief Posey has just advised all firefighters to pull back to the safety of the trucks. Extreme danger on the fire ground scene at this time. the propane tank is now involved in the fire and some explosions have been heard.

Not much fireman can do with the 250 gallon propane tank and down power lines. House to far gone when fireman arrived. Chief Posey has fireman a safe distance because of danger of explosion. Ashford Fire, Cowarts Fire, Ashford Rescue, Houston County Sheriff and Ashford Police.

Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah dispatched American Red Cross to the scene to assist the family with immediate needs.
Houston County Commissioner Doug Sinquefield responded to assist with any needs.
