Vehicle Fire Calls For Full Structure Fire Response

DOTHAN: At 11:29 PM Dothan Police 911 dispatched Dothan Fire to 909 South Ussery Street to a vehicle fire. The reports to the 911 Center were the vehicle was fully engulfed in front of apartment building 131.
When Dothan Fire Batallion Chief arrived he saw it was a much larger fire and closer to the apartments he felt the apartments were in extreme danger. The Batallion Chief called to increase the call to an actual structure fire more than just a vehicle fire.
With the change to a structure fire that meant the response called for multiple fire engines to roll and more aggressive.
The first engine on the scene was able to quickly contain the fire to the vehicle.
HATS OFF to being proactive to the danger. As you can see the arrival view was very dangerous.
