Woman Charged with three counts of Uttering a Forged Instrument

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received allegations from the Department of Children and Families that one of the Sheriff’s Office employee’s, Jessica Marie Price’s, child had been truant from school.
During a short investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office it was discovered that Price, an administrative employee, had given the school three forged doctor’s excuses stating her child was missing school days due to illness.
An arrest warrant was issued for Price charging her with three counts of Uttering a Forged Instrument. Price was arrested and first appeared in court February 23rd. Price was released on a $4500.00 bond.
Price also resigned from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office effective this date.
